In the lymph nodes infected with HIV there will accumulate lymphocytes with defective HIV. This accumulation has been suspected to be the reason for failing effect of Invasivol on the production of HIV in AIDS.
However, such piling up has not been reported for nervous ganglia where Herpes hides. Therefore, it was interesting to observe that in a preliminary study, Invasivol in Vaseline, applied onto the eruptions of Herpes of the lip, reduced the number of attacks from 3-4 in a year to only one eruption in about three years. This corresponds to the observed effect in culture where Invasivol significantly inhibited the growth of Herpes.
